Internship: Creative
Summary
ChappellRoberts is on the hunt for a creative mind to join our internship program. Whether you write words that sing, design visuals that stop thumbs or edit video like Scorsese with a deadline this is your chance to put your talent to work. As a Creative Intern, you won’t just sit on the sidelines; you’ll jump into agency life head-first. From shadowing real projects and bouncing ideas around with teammates, to maybe even snagging a front-row seat at a photo or video shoot, you’ll get a true taste of the energy that fuels our work.
We keep things flexible with a hybrid setup. Twice a week, you’ll bring your ideas to life alongside us in our Ybor City office. On other days, you’ll have the option to work remotely. And because we actually remember what it’s like to be a student, we’ll shape your schedule around your classes and program’s requirements — not the other way around.
Essential Duties and Functions
- Team up with fellow creatives to spark ideas fueled by culture, trends and audience truths.
- Bring big thinking to life — concepts, copy, designs, motion, social posts, video edits, UX/UI, decks (yes, even decks) — and push them until they’re as sharp as they are strategic.
- Dive into brand and campaign work that spans every channel: digital, social, web, print, video, even live experiences.
- Roll up your sleeves to help make the magic happen — on shoots, in the editing suite, online or wherever an idea needs backup.
- Come in with a builder’s mindset (part problem-solver, part big-idea dreamer) and the kind of eye that catches the little details others miss.
- Show up curious, collaborative and ready to squeeze every drop of learning (and fun) out of each assignment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active college student pursuing a degree in a creative discipline (e.g., advertising, design, copywriting, communications, film, digital media, UX/UI, photography, illustration or related field). You must be enrolled in a program and cannot be a recent graduate.
- Online portfolio or work samples showing your strongest creative work (this can include campaigns, copy, design, photography, video, motion, UX/UI, social content or other creative projects).
- Have a reliable laptop and access to Adobe Creative Cloud
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics.
- Proficiency in common creative tools relevant to your craft. Examples include:
- Visual/Design: Adobe Creative Cloud (Ps, Ai, Id, Xd), Figma; motion/video or web experience is a plus.
- Writing/Content: Google Docs/Microsoft 365, basic CMS or social publishing tools; mention if you have familiarity with briefs and brand voice guidelines.
- Video/Photo: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom or similar.
- Eagerness to learn, collaborate and take creative direction.
- Ability to present ideas clearly in one-on-one and small-group settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with teammates and clients. Read: you’re not afraid to introduce yourself and shadow new people. Shyness is banned in advertising.
- Ability to maintain confidential client and company information (note: interns are required to sign a confidentiality agreement).
