Veteran yoga instructor Denise Moore has been teaching bi-monthly, lunch-hour yoga classes at ChappellRoberts for more than five years. Moore started her 30-year career in yoga as a college freshman in Gainesville, Fla. She practices traditional Hatha Yoga, which focuses on postures and breathing.

She became a certified instructor about eight years ago through The Lotus Pond in Tampa. Denise’s yoga practice is designed to teach a basic introduction yoga practice, to encourage students to learn more about the practice, keep class simple and to encourage a quietness in each student. All levels of students are welcome!

ChappellRoberts team members who have participated in the lunchtime classes found it to have a powerful impact on their body, health and attitude. Read what a few team members had to say about Denise’s classes:

“Having yoga classes at ChappellRoberts is a blissful way to have some quiet time to gather your thoughts, as well as stretch out those muscles. I absolutely look forward to each class; you feel more centered and calm after the class. Denise always shows us poses to do that will help mend any ‘problem’ areas we have (sore back, neck, shoulders etc.). I’ve definitely learned not only is it important to stretch when I have sore shoulders and do sun salutations in the morning, but it’s equally important to take time to just breathe.” – Marie Holdaway, Graphic Designer

“I’ve only been here for two weeks now, but I was able to participate in the yoga class this Wednesday and it was great! I love that ChappellRoberts provides a yoga class for its employees – it’s a great way to show us that the company cares about our well-being. It’s also a great way to relax in the middle of the day! I left the class feeling calm and ready to take on the rest of the day. I’m looking forward to future yoga days!” – Anne Myers, Account Executive

“I like having yoga as an option because it really helps you to clear your mind, especially when you are feeling swamped, stressed or frustrated … or all three! It’s relaxing.” – Jessica Kuykendall, Junior Copywriter
