ChappellRoberts Promotes Two New Senior Directors of Account Strategy

Ybor City-based advertising agency ChappellRoberts made a strategic move, promoting two tenured strategists to senior director roles. Katy Parsons, APR, and Laura Ruden will be leading strategic planning and execution for clients across the entire agency portfolio.

In addition to elevating strategic efforts in the agency, Parsons and Ruden will each take on additional management and mentorship roles.

“The core of our value is strategic counsel,” said Colleen Chappell. “It’s incredibly exciting to see two proven agency leaders grow into powerful assets for our agency and our clients.”

Parsons and Ruden will leverage their extensive advertising agency experience, which spans a host of industry sectors.

Parsons will add a new level of integrated branding and advertising communications strategies. Over the past 13 years at ChappellRoberts, with her extensive experience in technical communications, she has led highly technical accounts, such as The Mosaic Company, PSCU and Verizon Wireless. Parsons leads ChappellRoberts’ public relations division. The University of South Florida alumna earned the coveted national public relations accreditation (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board.

Parsons currently serves as co-chair for the APR committee for the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Over the past decade at ChappellRoberts, Ruden launched, and continues to lead, the agency’s now-thriving social media division. In addition, she established the agency’s core real estate and development offering, which now is a critical sector of work. In her elevated role, Ruden will strategically enhance the breadth of services ChappellRoberts offers, ensuring measurable and impactful results. Using the latest trends in advertising across a variety of industries, she will continue to expand the agency’s thought leadership in digital strategy.

Ruden graduated from the University of South Florida, where she received the Kappa Tau Alpha Top Scholar Award in mass communications. She is a two-time Connect Florida Statewide Leadership Institute board member.
