Associate Creative Director, Video

The associate creative director, video is responsible for leading the creation of stories, video and photography for integrated campaigns and brand identities. Essential Duties and Functions

  • Agency subject matter expert of film, still and motion used in advertising, social and experiential.
  • Guide teams with a strong verbal and visual aesthetic perspective grounded by purposeful intention.
  • Work closely with principals, creative directors and brand directors to grow accounts, strategic vision and drive execution for all projects.
  • Manage 2-3 creative team members through daily mentorship and annual growth plans for videographers, art directors and copywriters.
  • Collaborative leader with ability to effectively delegate, give constructive feedback and guide teams across the agency toward courageous work.
  • Seek out strategic insights from internal teams and clients that reinforce the work.
  • Solve problems proactively with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Lead and support development of videos (broadcast & content), photoshoots, integrated and digital campaigns
  • Participate in daily project management scrums and lead teams through projects that are on time and on budget.
  • Develop schedules, scopes and budgets in collaboration with project management team.
  • Contributes to agency and department growth through strategic planning, new business responses, committee participation and creative thought leadership.
  • From creative briefs through detailed execution, you are a champion of details and strive for mic-drop creative every day.
  • Represents the agency’s core values in the agency and in the community through attendance of industry and client events.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, advertising, communications, or comparable field of study
  • 10+ years’ experience producing video for integrated campaigns, broadcast productions, web content series and social preferably in a advertising or creative agency.
  • Deep experience in all facets of the video production process from concept to station uploads.
  • 3+ years of management experience supervising creative and video production teams

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Characteristics

  • Experience writing director’s treatments, scripts and other brand related copy.
  • Experience directing and shooting for lifestyle and product campaigns.
  • Expert knowledge editing and postproduction in Adobe creative suite specifically Pr, Ae, Ps, Ai.
  • Experience leading and managing production process for video, photo and web.
  • Experience sourcing, securing and managing production partners, talent, and locations.
  • Experience leading teams on set, on location
  • Experience evolving production technology needs, managing production equipment list maintaining detailed production storage redundancies.
  • Must be a team player. Have an eagerness for continued learning, follow through with creative direction and provide clear direction to teams.
  • Motivated by creative excellence and a drive to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidential customer and company information.
  • Ability to effectively present information to agency teams peers and clients.
  • Ability/skill in interpersonal relations when interacting with internal and external customers.
