What’s On Our Playlist

Sleeping in tomorrow is not an option for several of our team members. Instead, we’ll be getting up bright and early to participate in one of our client’s annual 5K race – the Lions Eye Institute’s Annual Race for Sight. For the past two years, several of our folks have placed in the race’s top two categories, and we’re aiming high again this year. But how will we stay motivated so early on a Saturday morning? We asked everyone for their winning playlist tune – take a look:

Charliecharlie_m

Motley Crue (Kickstart My Heart): If this song doesn’t get you pumped, there’s something wrong with you.

Mariemarie_h

Courtney Barnett (Pedestrian at Best): She may sing about rather mundane subjects, but the guitar and beat make it all worth it.
OR
Royal Blood (Figure It Out): For a two-piece band, these guys can create a pretty impressive sound–it always gets me amped.

Katkat_r

Swedish House Mafia (Miami 2 Ibiza): How do you not get moving listening to this electronic dance music power group.

Lauralaura_n

Missy Elliot (Work It): Still haven’t gotten her out of my head since Super Bowl XLIX.

Marthamartha_m

Salt n’ Pepa (Push It): Not only is it stuck in my head from the Geico commercial, it’s a classic and that little piece of inspiration to keep me moving!

Natalienatalie_s

Christopher Cross (Any and all songs): Normally I’d be sleepwalking during this run, but Christopher Cross will keep me awake–he’s the man!

Maritza Maritza

Ke$ha (Tik Tok): Ke$ha songs put me in a good mood – and make me look forward to after the race.

Meganmegan_f

Anything by Jessie J: She’s upbeat. If I listen to a slow tempo song, I’ll literally just stop running.

Heather heather_m

Rage against machine (Bulls on Parade): A classic that takes me back to the 90’s!
