Learner for Life

During this time of returning back to school, here’s a challenge for you: Commit to being a learner for life. Yeah, yeah — we’ve heard the term “lifelong learner,” but this is different. It’s an outlook. An attitude. A way of living. Try it for one day. You’ll find that even a heightened perspective will show you opportunities to learn every day.

Then, after you’ve made it to that level, take it up a notch and look for bigger opportunities. No matter where you are at in your career, whether a green intern or a seasoned executive, everyone can learn more. The key is to seek to understand everything by asking questions. Like Lou Holtz said, “I never learn anything talking. I only learn things when I ask questions.”

To understand fully. To grow. To achieve. Be a learner for a life.
