Living and breathing different brands 24/7 can sometimes make you forget about those classic brands that will always be your favorite and will never go away. The past two Saturdays have reminded me of the brand I will forever be true to and that will never fail to give me goosebumps or make me happy.
So I thought to myself, what is it that makes this particular brand so near and dear to my heart? Is it the perfect combination of orange and blue (The fact that this one description basically gives this brand away speaks for itself!)? Or is it that familiar voice that says, “Heeeeeeeeeeere come the Gators!” as they all run under the tunnel? Or maybe it’s the company around me knowing that they have just as strong of an emotional connection to this brand as I do.
Either way, it is a good refresher of what makes a great brand. It’s that feeling knowing it’s a part of who you are and where you came from. It’s knowing that even on days when the competition might be just a little bit stronger, you will still come out on top. It’s knowing that no matter what the outcome of the product is, you will always be proud of your brand.
Simply put, college football teams are a great example of the emotional rule of branding. Which college team gives you that indescribably feeling of passion? Think about how you feel when you watch your favorite team play. That’s branding!
